Something more useful will probably live here in the future, but at the moment, I just have the old documentation (below), which contains some ideas I've abandoned, but does at least get across the ideas about object structure for them.

AutoManga Animation Engine

Terry Hancock

AutoManga is a game presentation system based on the idea of an interactive, animated film (with Japanese Manga-Style Anime Cel Animation as the animation model, and basis for most of the animation and character properties design). This makes a fairly complete cinematic language for communicating game events to the user. The input layer is based on a GUI front end to an interactive fiction style parser which allows for a rich interaction with the game.

AutoManga should also be useful for producing and displaying static (i.e. pre-scripted) animations.
